Chopsticks and Cherry Blossoms

It seems I just got back from a big trip and now we’re off again. This time, to Japan!

I have the honour of attending my friend Trevor’s wedding in Tokyo this week and I’m sooooo excited. Sharing in a special occasion half way across the world with friends I’ve known for many years is pretty special. One of the best reasons to travel.

I’m ready for another cultural experience…bring it on Japan!

Something You Didn’t Know About Me

  1. I only started eating sushi (and liking it) in August 2013. Yes, shocking isn’t it?! Especially since I live in Vancouver – sushi capital of Canada. I had tried sushi a couple of times before, but hated the taste of seaweed. For some reason, my palate did a 180 in the summer and I started enjoying sushi rolls – you know, beginner ones – California rolls, salmon and tuna. I can’t wait to try new stuff in Japan!
  2. I don’t know how to use chopsticks. And that’s why I’m taking trainer chopsticks with me. Works like a charm. I bought a pair from Ming Wo (East Hastings, Vancouver) for $0.99. Sweet!
